In short: everything happens inside your browser. The developer receives no data, no analytics are collected, nothing is sent to any server, and there are no ads.

What the extension does

LongChat Exporter for Grok lets you save the Grok conversation you have open (on grok.com or x.com/i/grok) as a Markdown, PDF, JSON or text file. It only runs on those pages.

What data it handles

• Conversation content – the messages (your questions and Grok's answers), the chat title, the page address and, when available, message timestamps. This is read from the page you are viewing and from the chat-history responses that Grok's own page already receives.
• Consent record – a flag and date recording that you accepted the in-extension notice (chrome.storage.local).
• Temporary PDF handoff – when you choose “Save as PDF”, the conversation is placed in chrome.storage.session only to pass it to the print tab, and is deleted as soon as that tab reads it. Session storage is not written to disk and is cleared when the browser closes.

Where it is processed

Conversation content is held in memory in your browser tab only while needed to create the file you ask for. It is never sent to the developer or to any third party. The extension makes no network requests of its own.

Consent and control

• The extension reads nothing until you accept the notice shown the first time you use it.
• You can withdraw consent at any time from the extension menu (“Withdraw consent”). This removes the consent record and immediately discards anything held in memory.
• Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stores.

What we do not do

• No collection by the developer, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies set by the extension.
• No advertising, and no use of your data for ads or profiling.
• No selling or transfer of data to third parties.
• No human reads your data. No remote code is loaded.
• Your data is not used for any purpose other than creating the export you request.

Diagnostics

The “Copy diagnostics” button copies a technical report (page structure and counts, never message text) to your clipboard. Nothing is sent anywhere: you decide whether to share it.

Optional links

If a donation link is shown, it opens an external website only when you click it. That site's own privacy policy applies; the extension sends it no data.

Limited Use disclosure

The use of information obtained by this extension from the pages you visit adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: it is used only to provide the user-facing export feature, it is not transferred to others, not used for advertising, and not read by humans.

Children

The extension is not directed at children.

Quali dati tratta

• Contenuto della conversazione – i messaggi (le tue domande e le risposte di Grok), il titolo della chat, l'indirizzo della pagina e, se disponibili, gli orari dei messaggi. Vengono letti dalla pagina che stai guardando e dalle risposte con lo storico della chat che la pagina di Grok riceve già.
• Registro del consenso – un indicatore e una data che attestano che hai accettato l'avviso dell'estensione (chrome.storage.local).
• Passaggio temporaneo per il PDF – quando scegli “Salva come PDF”, la conversazione viene messa in chrome.storage.session solo per passarla alla scheda di stampa e viene cancellata appena quella scheda la legge. Lo storage di sessione non viene scritto su disco e si svuota alla chiusura del browser.

Dove viene elaborato

Il contenuto della conversazione resta in memoria, nella scheda del tuo browser, solo per il tempo necessario a creare il file che chiedi. Non viene mai inviato allo sviluppatore né a terzi. L'estensione non effettua richieste di rete proprie.

Consenso e controllo

• L'estensione non legge nulla finché non accetti l'avviso mostrato al primo utilizzo.
• Puoi revocare il consenso in qualsiasi momento dal menu dell'estensione (“Revoca consenso”): viene cancellato il registro del consenso e scartato subito ciò che è in memoria.
• Disinstallando l'estensione viene rimosso tutto ciò che conserva.

Cosa non facciamo

• Nessuna raccolta da parte dello sviluppatore, nessuna statistica, nessun tracciamento, nessun cookie impostato dall'estensione.
• Nessuna pubblicità, nessun uso dei dati per annunci o profilazione.
• Nessuna vendita o cessione di dati a terzi.
• Nessuna persona legge i tuoi dati. Non viene caricato alcun codice remoto.
• I dati non sono usati per scopi diversi dalla creazione dell'esportazione richiesta.

Diagnostica

Il pulsante “Copia diagnostica” copia negli appunti un report tecnico (struttura della pagina e conteggi, mai il testo dei messaggi). Non viene inviato da nessuna parte: decidi tu se condividerlo.

Se è presente un link per le donazioni, apre un sito esterno solo quando lo clicchi. Si applica l'informativa di quel sito; l'estensione non gli invia alcun dato.
